Ingredients
- Corn flour300 g
- Type 00 flour200 g
- Granulated sugar150 g
- Raisins100 g
- Butter100 g
- Baking powder16 g
- Eggs2 u (120 g)
- Lemon zestto taste
- Powdered sugarto taste
- Fine saltto taste
Procedure
0. Soak the raisins in warm water for about 15 minutes, then drain and dry them.
1. Mix the flours, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
2. Add the butter cut into pieces and work the mixture until it has a sandy consistency.
3. Add the eggs and lemon zest, mixing until smooth.
4. Add the raisins to the mixture and mix well.
5. Form small, slightly flattened biscuits and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
7. Let the zaleti cool on the baking sheet before serving, dusting with icing sugar if desired.
