Questi spiedini di tempeh marinati sono perfetti come piatto principale o come antipasto, accompagnati dalla dolcezza e dalla leggera acidità della crema di peperoni e dal tocco fresco del lime.

  • 0. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey (if using), and lime juice. Dice the tempeh and add it to the marinade, mixing well so that all the pieces are coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably a couple of hours.
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Wash the peppers, cut them in half, and remove the seeds and white pith. Arrange the peppers cut-side down on a baking sheet.
  • 2. Bake the peppers for about 20-25 minutes, or until the skin turns black and bubbly. Once cooked, transfer them to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap for 10 minutes. This will make it easier to remove the skin.
  • 3. Peel the peppers and place them in a blender with the garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add salt and pepper if necessary.
  • 4. Take the skewers and thread the marinated tempeh cubes onto them. Heat a grill or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside. While cooking, you can brush them with a little of the remaining marinade for added flavor.
  • 5. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve the skewers with the pepper cream and lime wedges for added freshness. You can also drizzle a little pepper cream directly on the skewers before serving.
