Ingredients
- Type 00 flour500 g
- White wine125 ml
- Extra virgin olive oil125 ml
- Fine salt10 g
- Dried oreganoto taste
Procedure
0. In a large bowl, sift the flour and add the salt and fennel seeds, if using. Add the extra virgin olive oil and white wine. Knead well until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous. If the mixture is too dry, add a little white wine.
1. Take small pieces of dough and form cylinders about 10-12 cm long and about 1 cm thick. Join the ends of each cylinder to form a ring, pressing lightly to make the ends adhere well.
2. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Drop the taralli a few at a time into the boiling water. When they float to the surface, remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a dry cloth to dry for about 10 minutes.
3. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the taralli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the taralli in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
4. Remove the taralli from the oven and let them cool completely on a rack.
