Ingredients
- Type 00 flour450 g
- Semi-skimmed milk250 ml
- Butter55 g
- Granulated sugar30 g
- Baking powder8 g
- Fine saltto taste
Procedure
0. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder into a bowl. Combine the diced butter and sugar. Make a well in the center and add the milk. Stir in the milk.
1. Once the mixture is smooth, cut out discs about 1 cm thick. Because they're very delicate, use a light touch. Arrange the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the surface with milk.
2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Once cooled, cut them in half and fill them as desired. For more creative scones, you can add food coloring to the flour!
