Ingredients
- White bread200 g
- Sliced cheese40 g
- Eggs4 u (240 g)
- Fine saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Mayonnaiseto taste
- Extra virgin olive oilto taste
- Lettuceto taste
Procedure
0. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat a little extra virgin olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook until the frittata is cooked through on one side. Flip the frittata using a plate or spatula and cook on the other side until cooked through.
1. Once cooked, let the omelette cool slightly and cut it into 4 pieces (or to the size of the bread used).
2. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. If desired, spread a little mayonnaise on one of the slices of bread.
3. Place a lettuce leaf on a slice of bread. Add a portion of frittata on top of the lettuce. Place a slice of cheese on top. Cover with another slice of bread.
4. If you prefer melted cheese, you can reheat the sandwich in a nonstick skillet or toaster oven for a few minutes, until the cheese begins to melt and the bread becomes golden and crispy.
