Ingredients
- Water400 ml
- Sushi rice300 g
- Salmon150 g
- Spreadable cheese100 g
- Sesame seeds50 g
- Rice vinegar50 ml
- Granulated sugar25 g
- Fine salt5 g
- Nori seaweed4 sheets
- Avocado1 u (300 g)
- Wasabi sauceto taste
- Gingerto taste
- Soy sauceto taste
Procedure
0. Rinse the rice several times until the water runs clear. Cook it with the water in a covered pot for 10 minutes, then let it rest for another 10 minutes with the heat off.
1. Meanwhile, dissolve the sugar and salt in the rice vinegar and pour it over the still-warm rice, stirring gently. Cover with a damp cloth and let cool.
2. Cut the salmon into long, thin strips. Slice the avocado thinly.
3. Cover the makisu with plastic wrap. Place a sheet of nori seaweed on the mat, rough side up. Spread an even layer of rice over the seaweed, leaving a 1 cm border.
4. Sprinkle the rice with toasted sesame seeds and gently flip the seaweed, placing the rice against the plastic wrap. Arrange the cream cheese, salmon, and avocado in the center of the seaweed.
5. Wet the blade of a sharp knife and cut the roll into 8 pieces. Arrange the uramaki on a serving platter and serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
