Prepara una deliziosa marmellata di arance fatta in casa, dolce e profumata, perfetta da spalmare su pane, crostate o come ingrediente per dolci e dessert.
Ingredients
- Oranges500 g
- Granulated sugar300 g
- Lemon1 u (85 g)
Procedure
0. Preparing the Oranges: Wash the oranges thoroughly. Use a vegetable peeler to remove the colored pith. Discard the bitter white pith underneath. Cut the peels into thin strips. Peel the oranges, removing all the pith, and cut them into pieces, collecting the juice that comes out.
1. Place in the Thermomix: Place the orange pieces, the strips of zest, the lemon juice and the sugar in the Thermomix jug.
2. Cooking: Set the Thermomix to 100°C for 40 minutes at speed 1 with the measuring cup tilted or the basket over the lid to avoid splashes and allow evaporation.
3. Checking the consistency: To check if the jam is ready, place a teaspoon of jam on a cold saucer. If it doesn't run, it's ready; otherwise, continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes.
4. Blending (optional): If you prefer a finer consistency, at the end of cooking you can blend for a few seconds at speed 7.
5. Storage: Pour the still-hot jam into sterilized jars, close the lids tightly, and invert the jars to create a vacuum. Once cooled, store the jars in a cool, dry place.
