La meringa è un dolce delizioso e relativamente semplice da preparare. Ecco una ricetta base per una meringa veloce.
Ingredients
- Powdered sugar220 g
- Egg white4 u (148 g)
- Cornstarch (Maizena)1 teaspoon
- Lemonto taste
Procedure
0. Preheat oven to 120°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
1. Make sure the bowl and beaters are completely clean and dry. Pour the egg whites into the bowl and begin beating on medium speed until frothy.
2. Increase the mixer speed and add the sugar one tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat until the mixture becomes glossy and forms stiff peaks. This process may take about 7-10 minutes. Add the lemon juice and cornstarch and mix until well incorporated.
3. Using a spoon or a pastry bag, pipe small meringues onto the prepared parchment paper. You can create peaks or circles, depending on your preference.
4. Bake the meringues for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until dry to the touch. Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside with the door slightly ajar to cool completely. This will prevent cracking from the sudden change in temperature.
5. Once cooled, the meringues are ready to serve. They can be enjoyed on their own, with fresh fruit, or as a base for other desserts like Eton Mess or with a little whipped cream.
