  • 0. In a bowl, combine the milk, yeast, and sugar. Then add the flour and mix vigorously. Once fully incorporated, add the eggs one at a time and the grated lemon zest. Mix the ingredients together, then finally add the diced butter and salt. Stir in the flour as well.
  • 1. Let the dough rest for about twenty minutes. Meanwhile, butter a loaf pan. Divide the dough into three equal portions and shape them into balls, placing them inside the pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for about four hours, or until it has more than doubled in size.
  • 2. Preheat the oven to 190°C and place a baking sheet filled with water on the bottom. This will create a humid environment that will allow the dough to rise. Bake for about 30 minutes. Then remove the baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
