Fake chili di Karolina: un mix goloso e speziato senza carne, pieno di legumi e verdure per un piatto vegano ricco di gusto e personalità!
Ingredients
- Borlotti beans (precooked)480 g
- Fresh sausage400 g
- Basmati rice340 g
- Tomato puree300 ml
- Golden onion200 g
- Fine saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Bouillon cubeto taste
Procedure
0. To prepare the chili, start by finely chopping the onions, taking care to put some aside for the next rice frying.
1. Add a drizzle of oil to a deep pan and sauté the onions for five minutes.
2. Then add the sausage (I prefer to remove the casing) and leave to brown for a few minutes
3. Next, add the tomato puree, a pinch of salt, and the parsley. Separately, in a small saucepan, begin making the broth by dissolving a little stock cube in water.
4. Once the broth is ready, add it to the chili along with the beans. Let everything cook for half an hour.
5. Meanwhile, you can prepare the basmati rice. This will be cooked by absorption. In a nonstick pan, sauté just under half the onion with a drizzle of oil. Meanwhile, prepare the broth again.
6. Add the rice and a generous pinch of salt (depending on how much rice you're cooking). The salt will be absorbed only at this initial stage. Once everything has toasted for 2-3 minutes, add the broth until it reaches the level of the rice.
7. The broth should be added gradually as it is absorbed by the rice. The rice cooking process takes about 15 minutes.
8. Once cooked, let the rice rest for 5 minutes with the heat off and covered. You can then serve it by placing the chili on a bed of rice!
