Ingredients

Procedure

  • 0. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a finely chopped garlic clove. Add 100g of frozen spinach directly to the pan, without thawing it first.
  • 1. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the water released by the spinach evaporates and the spinach is well-drained. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2. Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into slightly flattened patties. Season each burger with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • 3. In a hot pan or grill, cook the burgers for about 3-4 minutes per side (depending on your desired doneness). During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to each burger and cover the pan to melt.
  • 4. Cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them in a pan with a little butter until golden and crispy.
  • 5. On each bun base, add a layer of wilted spinach, then one of the two burgers with melted cheese. Add the second burger on top, and top with the other half of the bun.
