Ingredients
- Ground beef200 g
- White bread100 g
- Frozen spinach100 g
- Sliced cheese2 u (60 g)
- Fine saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
Procedure
0. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a finely chopped garlic clove. Add 100g of frozen spinach directly to the pan, without thawing it first.
1. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the water released by the spinach evaporates and the spinach is well-drained. Add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into slightly flattened patties. Season each burger with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. In a hot pan or grill, cook the burgers for about 3-4 minutes per side (depending on your desired doneness). During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to each burger and cover the pan to melt.
4. Cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them in a pan with a little butter until golden and crispy.
5. On each bun base, add a layer of wilted spinach, then one of the two burgers with melted cheese. Add the second burger on top, and top with the other half of the bun.
