- Dark chocolate200 g
- Brown sugar150 g
- Chestnut flour150 g
- Butter150 g

Procedure
0. Preheat oven to 180°C (static). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
1. In a small saucepan over a bain-marie, melt the dark chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Let cool.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the vanilla extract and melted chocolate to the egg mixture, mixing gently.
4. Sift the chestnut flour with the baking powder (if using) and salt, then add it to the mixture, mixing until you obtain a smooth dough.
5. If desired, add chopped pecans or hazelnuts to the batter.
6. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
7. Bake for about 25 minutes. The brownies are ready when the surface is slightly crispy and the inside is still soft.
8. Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into cubes.
