  • 0. The first step involves cleaning the calamari. If the calamari is frozen, you'll need to wait until it's completely thawed.
  • 1. Once cleaned, the squid should be cut into rings.
  • 2. While the water is boiling, you can prepare the sauce. To do this, start by sautéing a crushed garlic clove and some parsley in a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Then add the calamari and, if desired, add half a glass of white wine.
  • 3. As soon as the water boils, you can start cooking the pasta. Calamarata pasta is the perfect cut, but spaghetti or linguine will also work.
  • 4. Add the quartered cherry tomatoes to the sauce and cook for 5 minutes. Add a little grated lemon zest, if desired. Finally, add the pasta and toss everything together. Serve hot!
