Add the onion, garlic, chickpea flour, breadcrumbs, cumin, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands or a fork. If the mixture is too soft, add a little more breadcrumbs.
  • 1. Take small portions of the dough and shape them into round balls. Roll them in breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • 2. In a nonstick pan, heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Cook the meatballs for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Alternatively, cook them in an air fryer at 200°C for 15-18 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • 3. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, paprika, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 4. 💡 Helpful Tips: You can replace the black beans with cannellini or borlotti beans for a milder version. Add a pinch of chili pepper for a spicy note. Serve them in a burger bun with salad and avocado. If you want a 100% vegan version, choose a plant-based yogurt for the sauce.
