Ingredients
- Blackberries1 Kg
- Brown sugar400 g
- Lemon1 u (85 g)
Procedure
0. Rinse the blackberries under cold running water. Then, drain them well and remove any remaining leaves or stems.
1. Place the blackberries in a large saucepan and add the lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, lightly pressing the blackberries with the back of a wooden spoon to release their juice. Add the sugar and stir well.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 30-40 minutes, or until the jam thickens. Test the jam's readiness with the cold saucer test, as described above.
3. Sterilize the glass jars and proceed as indicated above.
4. Store jars in a cool, dry place, and, once opened, in the refrigerator.
